Over the next 1-3 years, Shapell’s/Darche Noam will focus on the following
strategic objectives to allow it to advance its vision and mission:
In order to attract more students and to serve them even better, Shapell’s/Darche Noam will expand its traditional base to create and promote additional programs specifically designed to serve:
Students ages 20+ who graduated Jewish high schools and/or previously studied in other Yeshivot/Midrashot.
Students enrolling for 1-3 months.
Men preparing for smicha
In order to come closer to our goals of being able to educate all appropriate students regardless of financial need and providing an even more enriched program – over the next three years Shapell’s/Darche Noam will increase its fundraising by at least 10% per year.
In order to ensure that Shapell’s/Darche Noam can continue for many years within the vision they have set for us, a Hanhala succession plan will be created and implemented.
We will enhance our students’ connections to Israel and its people. This will be accomplished through monthly trips, programs, regular chesed opportunities, meaningful celebrations and observances, and connecting our students with alumni living in Israel.
We will enhance our alumni relations in a cost effective way that promotes continued alumni-faculty connections and learning, and fosters loyalty to the Yeshiva and Midrasha. The main vehicle to accomplish these goals will be an alumni association which will to connect alumni with each other, offering communal support, as well as chavrutot, job networking, etc. It will be a primary resource for students returning from Israel to facilitate a smooth integration in to their community. This will be done by connecting returning students with other alumni in the community, connecting them with appropriate Rabbis, helping them be hosted for Shabbatot, and providing general support as they transition from their Yeshiva/Seminary experience to the new challenges they face.
In order to show the ultimate caring for our single students and to promote Torah families, we will continue and strengthen our shidduchim and pre-marriage counseling program.
We will continue to enhance the emotional, inspirational, and communal environment in the Yeshiva.
